Exemplify the values of servant leadership within the
troop, promoting commitment to service as an important part
of the troop's identity. |
Update the troop calendar and Service webpage to
include upcoming service events. |
Announce, publicize, and encourage service opportunities for
Scouts and adults in the troop --- not just for rank but
because it is part of our commitment as Scouts and Scouters
to help others at all times. |
Attempt to involve other Scouts as leaders of individual
service projects. Coach them as needed so that they
are able to make effective announcements (rather than the
Service Coordinator being the voice of every project). |
Organize at least one troop-wide service project
during the term of office. |
Check with each patrol to understand what service
projects they are undertaking and to encourage their
participation in troop-wide projects. |
Work with the adult mentor to the Service Coordinator
to help document the projects and hours completed so that
the hours can be properly reported to the troop records and
to the national BSA database. |
