Boy Scout Troop 202

Description: Appointed by the Senior Patrol Leader to maintain useful records and materials to aid in planning troop activities and events.  Responsible to safeguard all reference items and pass them on to successor in role.
Reports To: Senior Patrol Leader or an Assistant Senior Patrol Leader
Build and maintain a library of resources to support advancement, patrol and troop activities, and outings.
Regularly display resources at troop meetings so Scouts get full use of them.
Maintain merit badge pamphlets and other troop materials for check-out and use by Scouts.  Keep an inventory of all materials, including issue date of current requirements, and track who has items checked out.
 Keep the troop library storage area neat and clean, with all items in appropriate containers and stored inside the cabinet.
Keep a file of reports from past troop outings.  Include a short write-up about activities, facilities, and participant feedback.
Keep and regularly add to a file of Scout-appropriate songs and skits for campfire programs and other occasions.
Maintain a file of troop special event scripts, such as courts of honor. 
Eligibility: First Class rank or higher, unless special approval is given by the Scoutmaster
