Assistant Senior Patrol Leader

Description:	Appointed by the Senior Patrol Leader in the second-highest youth leadership position in the troop. Manages an assigned group of troop youth leaders, and fills in for the SPL in case of his absence.
Reports To:	Senior Patrol Leader
Duties:	Assist the Senior Patrol Leader in making sure troop meetings and functions run smoothly. Lead the troop in the absence of the Senior Patrol Leader. Help train and supervise the assigned youth leaders (e.g., Quartermaster, Historian, Librarian, etc.). Provide feedback and guidance on their performance.  Assist with running the annual planning meeting.  Assist the Scoutmaster with youth leader training.  Promote Scout Spirit in the troop, and exemplify the highest personal standard of Scouting.
Eligibility:	Star rank or higher, unless special approval is given by the Scoutmaster
