- mentor Den Chiefs to do a creditable job of fulfilling the
position duties
- encourage Den Chiefs to pursue the Den Chief Service Award
- understand the role description and difference between a Cub
Scout Den Chief and a Webelos Den Chief, and encourage each to set
appropriate goals
